A child in a developing country is 10 times more likely to die before the age of 5 than a child born in a modern country.

Let that sink in for a minute…

At BoWood, we believe that every child deserves to experience unconditional love, most especially from their mother.

This is why we’ve chosen to partner with an organization this year for Mother’s Day in providing them with 10% of all sales leading up to Mother’s Day 2017 to help support this ambitious goal.

In 1952, evangelist Rev. Everett Swanson was preaching in Korea and was moved by the orphans he came across there. It was after seeing this that Swanson established a program where caring people were able to provide food, shelter, education, medical care and Christian training for those orphans.

This program has now become the basis for what is now Compassion International.

Early childhood is a critical time for children and sets the stage for their future development. Without a healthy start, a child’s chances of normal development are small.

To have the greatest affect on these at-risk little ones, Compassion’s Child Survival Program works directly with mothers, as well as expectant mothers-to-be, to help them provide a solid foundation — physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually — for their children.

What we’re doing

At BoWood, we have chosen this year to support these children’s right to life and love. Through the intervention and assistance provided by Compassion it allows these children a better chance at life possible. It is a person’s generosity and love that allows for a better tomorrow for all children.

Will you do your part in sharing that you believe that #momsmatter?
